vomFass COGNAC SEGUINOT, CUV̩EE PARADIS X.O. HORS D'AGE, AGED 40-50 YEARS, PREMIER CRU DE COGNAC
Every good Cognac producer has a paradise, the locked part of the cellar in which they mature their best and oldest Cognac barrels. Gérard Seguinot, fifth generation to the Seguinot family has released this rare Cognac from his own paradise. By hand selecting only vintage barrels no less than fourth years old, this rare gem achieves an unmatched complexity and incredibly aromatic body. The Cognac region is made out of six areas known as ""Crus"" that reference the various appellations. Each Cru is graded by the French government according to quality of the cognac produced there. The six Cru are ranked as: (1) Grande Champagne, (2) Petite Champagne, (3) Borderies, (4) Fins Bois, (5) Bons Bois and (6) Bois Ordinaries.
This Cognac is exclusively from ”Grande Champagne" and therefore given the name "Premier Cru" making it rank right at the top of the Cognac Hierarchy. This spirit benefits from the finesse that the chalky soil produces exclusively in that small region.
