Description

vomFass "Mimori", Japanese Pure Malt Whisky

This whisky was given the name ""Mimori"", which essentially means ""three woods"" in Japanese. This is because the pure malt was stored in ex-bourbon barrels, sherry barrels and barrels made from Japanese Mizunara Oak"". Mizunara Oak is very scarce as the tree grows in sharp curves and takes a long time to mature. The composition of the woods gives this Japanese whisky a rich flavour profile. Heavy influences of sweet grains and malty dried fruits. The finish is rounded off with a pleasantly light touch of smoke and honey.
